Cabbage Thoran



Cabbage is a leafy Vegetable and an excellent source of vitamins K and C:
Cabbage thoran is made of Cabbage, Grated Coconut and Onion.It is very delicious and easy to make.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Finely chopped Cabbage – 1 cup
  • Finely chopped Onion – 1 no
  • Roundly cut Green Chillies - 6 nos
  • Grated Coconut – ½ cup
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coconut oil - As reqd
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Red chillies - 2 nos
  • Curry leaves - A few
  • Salt-to taste

PREPARATION METHOD:
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add mustard seeds and Red Chillies, allow to splutter.
  • Add Onions and Green chillies , sauté until transparent.
  • Add curry leaves.
  • Add Cabbage into it.
  • Add turmeric powder and salt.
  • Mix well, cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add grated coconut in to it.
  • Slow down the flame and let it cook for 2mins .

Recommended Combination: Serve hot with Rice.
